Johnson Memorial Pool Mural for the Roseville Mural Project 2020

A collaborative effort between artists Esther Chow and Zoey Rosenthal in 2020. The David R. Johnson Memorial Pool was designed to be colorful and joyful to inspire local kids and families to visit the pool. Featured animals include local wildlife, the Heron and Rainbow Trout, while the Octopus and Sea Turtle are reminiscent of California's coastline.

Celebration of Water Otter for the Humboldt River Otter Project

100 local Northern California artists partnered with Humboldt State University to paint 100 life size otter sculpture to raise awareness of and sponsor river otter research in the North State. 



Nurpon: Salmon Run Mural

Commissioned by the City of Redding to beautify a new open space area in Redding,  this mural highlights the local species or Chinook Salmon that spawns in the river right in view every season. 

This mural, featuring the word Nurpon which means, "salmon run," stands as a deliberate honor to the Winnemem Wintu Tribe. The Winnemem Wintu, or 'Middle Water People,' are the original and ongoing ecological and spiritual caretakers of the Winnemem Waywaket (the McCloud River watershed), stretching from Buliyum Puyuuk (Mount Shasta) down through Northern California.

By bringing the word Nurpon to this space, we acknowledge that the Winnemem Wintu are still here, fiercely advocating for the restoration of their sacred waters and the return of their salmon. 

Into the Forest Mural for Paint the Rails, Roseville

I had the opportunity to paint the K-Rails outside of the Bounty Hunter Cafe on Vernon Street in Roseville CA. Due to Covid the businesses on Vernon street adapted by creating outdoor seating for customers. K-Rails were brought in as traffic barriers in order to keep the outdoor dining areas safe. The forest scene is a celebration of Autumn. 

Lassen Trio Mural for Arts at the Park, Redding

The "Lassen Trio" Mural was done for the Redding Arts, Art at the Park event. It was created over a period of three days and features some of the regions local wildlife, including a bobcat, a rabbit, and a quail. The mural was on display at the The Park food trucks in downtown Redding.

R Ranch Mural for Corning High School

A team of four artists including myself created this mural for Corning High School as a part of our Public Arts Class at Chico State. This project was completed in May 2021.  

Taste and See Redding Mural for Taste and See Creamery

A 5' by 5' mural in the new Taste and See location on Hilltop in Redding, CA created in October 2021. Taste and See is a local coffee shop and creamery.
